This image took me four hours to make – as in just getting the leaves on the illustration board. PLUS retouching time. It was worth it! Grey “rocks” are the back sides of butterfly bushes. This did not look finished until I added the “tree trunks” to the red burning bush “trees”. It was a puzzler. It needed something…. The minute I added the white cedar tree trunks, I knew it was done. The little trees on the ridge are from a BARBERRY bush in my front yard.
This was so beautiful it was poetic!
As leaves are biodegradable and will fade and deteriorate quickly, original Art is scanned immediately after creation, preserving their beauty long after originals are gone. Enjoy!
